Gardening

Consulting, advising, planning, planting, re-designing, bio-diversifying and maintaining customers gardens.

Having worked in large garden nurseries dividing and growing on plants, I am passionate about working with my customers to help curate your garden, window boxes or even homes with plants that thrive in the environment they are being planted or positioned in.

With a love of indoor plants and interior design I fuse my work with both ouitdoor and indoor plant choices. If you are looking for planting advice for a new-build garden, additionals to your existing outdoor space then do get in touch.

You may have an office or restaurant you need filling with greenery and indoor plants that will thrive in the space or to create an indoor jungle.

“Wild and free-flowing”. I realise this is how I “Wild and free-flowing”.I realise this is how I like to create with floristry. To let the plants and leaves, flower heads flow in positions that seem natural to them and not contorted. Going with the natural shape of the stem of flower, enabling natural movement and free-flowing structure that creates also a natural wildness. On reflection, I recognise that this represents a bit of my own personality. I can have a lean towards a wild, natural and free- spirited way of living and relating. I love to help others grow in their strengths and move freely in them, to encourage growth and a freedom of choice and self expression. I love to keep things natural that I work with and love and treasure their natural beauty. How does your style of creating represent some of your personality? #creativityforlife#wildwreaths#nature #freeflowing #britishflowers #sustainablefloristryuk #arnosvalecemetery

I thought I would share a picture of me and share I thought I would share a picture of me and share a small piece of my journey, why I am popping pics up here! My name is Naomi and I have a love for planting, growing, creating and designing in ways that are caring to the planet and care about the beauty and wellbeing of nature, plants and the individual. A change of career in the last 3 years from working in both adult social care and child and adolescent services found a shift within me from tending to people, to tending to plants, flowers the ground and working outdoors.I loved my previous career and felt proud to have achieved all I had and privileged to work with some of the most amazing humans I may meet. However to work where the wind blows your hair and where the seasons dictate daily lifestyle choices like what to grow, eat, pick or create felt like the change I needed at a stage where thoughts and emotions within me were struggling to find a way of processing themselves. Events of trauma and loss in several facets, found me needing the outdoors daily, propagating, growing, planting and digging. I took to studying and training again in horticulture and floristry and so my new journey of work and activity has been developing.I’m still learning, growing and as I do, increasingly loving the use and eye of design in my work more and more.So here’s to seeing what the autumn, brings and how seasons will bring with it change. Change for me will be firstly in moving, with my husband to make a new home. A move from the beautiful West to the East, to Norfolk where this photograph was taken. My roots feel like there are here in Bristol, but new ones can be laid and new seasons come. Working with the individual, groups and communities in a therapeutic way with flowers and in growing and garden design will be part of my new venture among other things.I wonder what’s brought you to where you are today? What changes have you made? What’s your new venture? One things for sure.. be kind to yourself in it! #newventures#therapeutichorticulture#workshops.#newbeginnings#sustainablefloristryuk #horticulturetherapy #

Loved working with these large proteas whilst free Loved working with these large proteas whilst freelancing for @bristolfloraldesign. This moon arch looked so elegant against the backdrop of hills and sheep @orchardleigh_estate_weddings for a Somerset wedding. I love large installation work and the freedom it brings in the creating. It reminds me of making sculptures and structural design and I feel at home in the designing and big picture work.Sustainable floristry. Let time stand still.. This picture taken by @samb Let time stand still.. This picture taken by @sambalyfilms is of a bouquet I made in the spring for a beautiful wedding I had the privilege of creating for. It is almost September and I can’t believe how fast the year is moving and the seasons changing. My mind is starting to think wreaths, workshops and markets. Collaborations with other makers and connections with local communities and people. I love markets and workshops and the energy and enthusiasm often felt in these events and by the people behind them making them happen, and expressed often by those who attend.Amidst these thoughts, it’s as if there’s a moment of ‘waiting’. Waiting while the seasons slowly start to shift, we look towards the approach in our midst of a new academic year and autumn, our new season with all its jewel like colours and surprises that start to appear.“What are you looking forward to and or waiting for..?”#waiting #watchful #weddingfloristry #sustainablefloristry #freelancefloristbristol #bridalfloristry #sustainablefloristry#seasonalfloristry#wreathworkshop
I love the photography side of design and floristr I love the photography side of design and floristry work. Hopefully one day I will learn the art of a non digital camera. If I was at school now I would definitely choose photography as a GCSE subject. No such luck in my day but thank goodness you didn’t have the crazy standards for grades that young people have to aspire to now! Weldone to all those with A level results last week!! Autumn is coming and I love the summer but feel my Autumn is coming and I love the summer but feel my mind and body was made for the autumn. It works more in harmony in this season, as if it knows it was made for change and for colour, for shedding and for new adventures.I love the subtle shift to the breeze at this time of year, that suddenly catches your breath. It feels more fresh and as if, if it had musical notes to it, they would be slightly lower in pitch and tone than the heat of the summer breeze. Autumn is already calling and so too is the preparation in my thinking to working with fresh wreaths and with dried flowers. I will be making in workshops again this year and expanding my work to offer some more therapeutic wreath making for charities. I am starting with @sandscharity which will be a precious time making with those that attend the charity who want some time to build and create for wellbeing.I shall also be running other local workshops for those who want to gather with a friend of family member for festive making. I’ll be making for gardening customers I work for and for a few local markets. I could resist accepting having another stand at @arnosvalecemetery Christmas market. Yes we are going there already!! This will be my third year and I absolutely love this venue and market for makers and creatives. All in all, I am looking forward to new ventures and old traditions this coming season in places new and familiar. With those I know and love and have travelled far with and those I will meet for the first time. Here’s to the subtle nudge towards Autumn..#britishflowers #Autumnjoy#changeisgood#changeofseasons #wreathworkshop #sustainablewreathworkshop #therepeuticworkshops #sands
